Last Book That I Read..

Last book that read was I lost my love in Baghdad by Micheal hastings. Maicheal hastings is an American journalist who was sent for the coverage of Iraq war as a Newsweek’s reporter.  Micheal had a deep interest in politics since very young age  and so when the Iraq war started he made every effort to get posted in Iraq as a journalist and soon his efforts were rewarded and he was sent there. Just two months before he had a departure for Iraq in 2005,Micheal met a girl named Andi Parhamovich. Soon they fell in love with each other but unfortunately  MH had to leave for Iraq. Andi followed his beloved’s foot prints and get herself posted in Iraq as an aid worker of an NGO in 2006. Since both were working in different spheres so it was very challenging for them to see each other because of security issues and workload that they had but any how they continued with each other till 2007 when an Andy’s car got blown in an insurgents attack and she lost her life.
I lost my love is not just about the love story Micheal also writes about his everyday routine in Iraq giving readers a better insight of  the political situation of Iraq.  He talks about the worries of American soldiers and the miserable situation of Iraqi people but basically this book is a tribute to Andi from Micheal for her humanity work and her charismatic personality. So at the end I can say that its a perfect modern war story.
