Recently a new trend of Dubbbing the foreign dramas and then
telecasting them on our channels started.
Also the standard of the most of our locally produced content
is awful. So when comparing this
terrible current Pakistani drama industry
with the industry that once we
used to have in past we got reminded of some of the very old and quality plays
produced and telecasted in past Dramas of that time were
less glamorous and much realistic and based on social issues and the comedy
shows were much ethical than today. Starting
off with Khuda ki basti first produced
in late 1960’s and then in in early 70’s in this play Behroz Sabzwaare made his first appearance on
screen. That was a play written by Shaukat Siddique. And then in late 1980’s,Aangan
Tehra was on aired which starred Bushra Ansari and Durdaana Butt. That was a play written by Anwar
Maqsood Saaheb. Waris, a play written by
Amjad Islam Amjad revolved around the feudal system of Pakistan and it starred
Abid Ali and Jamil Fakhri. Another drama
,Dhuwaan, which was the first action drama of PTV on aired in early 1990’s.
while talking about the old dramas how can one forget Andhaira Ujala in which
Irfan Khosat worked as a senior police officer and Qavi khan being his boss. That
was the play not only with a quality comedy but also a play brought a positive image of Police in our mind. And
then we saw our renowned actress
Shugufta Ejaz working with Shafi Muhammad in a drama “Aanch”. That was a social
play with a happy endings. One of my all time favourite play was an Alpha Bravo
Charlie produced by ISPR. That was the play on aired in late 1990’s and I guess
who ever watched that play, loved that play. Among comedy plays there was a play, 50,50. That
was the play with a typical comedy of Karachites of that time. Another play Eid Train in which Durdana Butt
also played a part was another quality play. A sitcom Guest House, starring our very own Afzal Khan aka John Rambo was
also a hit play on aired in 1990’s. Any way, the list of such quality content that
once PTV was used to telecast goes on and on till the decline of our drama industry
starts and our dramas lost the charm and reputation. However one should not be so much pessimistic regarding our low standards of Dramas because
even today we get to watch a quality content like Maira Naseeb, Kankar,Qaid e Tanhai etc though rarely but enough to keep our hopes
alive for the revival of our drama industry. But any how I personally intend to
watch old Pakistani drama stuff as much as possible and also I will try to give
a re watch to those plays which I have already watched because these are the
plays that reminds us of our standards that we once had, of our ethics and the culture of respecting our elders that we once had.

What Goes Around.... Comes Around .
Recycling Water
The ideal
garden in Pakistan , a ‘ water scarce ‘country where regular access to potable
water is limited , is a garden in which as little water is used as possible and
in which any water used is recycled ‘grey water’ from the house. This is especially pertinent now ,
since world water day will commemorated globally on march 20 ; the aim of this
day is to create awareness about conserving freshwater.
The collection
system storage tank and easy garden access to once used household water should
all be factored into architectural and garden plans when housing is going to be
built. However, these can with correct planning and execution, also be
installed in existing properties at a reasonable cost. Furthermore, the cost of
installing this recycling system can be recovered in depending on the system’s efficiency.
Recycled
household water from dish washing vegetable washing , showers, hand washing ,
clothes washing , etc . , is perfectly suitable for most garden use as long as
it contains as little detergent , oil , grease and soap as possible and – this is
prime importance – is totally free of any potentially harmful chemicals such as
bleach and other non-environment friendly cleaning agents .
Grey water
is perfectly safe for use on lawns, flowers beds, herbs, and on most vegetables
and fruits; the expectations are vegetables and fruits that have high water
contents such as tomatoes and melons . The use of grey water on root vegetables
, in which any impurities may be build up over the growing period is also best
avoided.
One can
, of course , recycle grey water into the garden directly from washing- up bowls
and buckets without going to the expense of installing an actual collection
system of pipes and a tank .
However
, avoid leaving it – or any other water – standing around in open containers
for any length of times as it provides the perfect breeding ground for
mosquitoes.

ONLINE SHOPPING, THE NEW TREND IN PAKISTAN... !
Internet has made the world a global village. People of Pakistan are adopting online shopping trends because of the existence of many online shopping websites in Pakistan. People of Pakistan are now aware of e-commerce and they like to shop from various trustworthy online shops.
Social media has also played a vital role. You can see the advertisements of many online shops on Facebook.
TCS, which has long been an established courier service in Pakistan, has expanded its online presence to start offering a wide array of products. They range from electronics, books and appliances to automobile parts. Customers can order these products online and have them shipped (for free) to their homes.
An Example,My friend recently purchased a piece of jewellery from an online store and had it delivered to her home within the next two days. The online transaction saved her from the trouble of searching for jewellery of her liking at actual jewellery shops. In this way, e-commerce not only saves your time, it also gives you a more diverse range of options to choose from. All these online transactions can be carried out without leaving the comfort of your home or without facing the scorching heat.
Social media has also played a vital role. You can see the advertisements of many online shops on Facebook.
Education level is increasing in Pakistan and making people aware about the benefits of online shopping. People know that online shopping is far more convenient than conventional shopping. People can buy at any time i.e; at nights, holidays, and weekends.
Unlike local stores, where you can choose from a limited variety of items, there is a huge variety of items at online shops. You can use the Internet to have an instant access to the customer reviews of various online stores.

CHOCOLATE: A DELIGHT TO RETAIN JOY OF YOUR LIFE.
“A day without chocolate is a day without sunshine.”
There are certain
myths among the people about chocolate that it invigorates harm to us which is
absolutely wrong in my opinion. Chocolate is my all time favourite food not
just because of its irresistible taste which fascinates me all the time but
because of it’s another aspect that is wide range of health benefits such as it
is good for our heart and brain, the smell of chocolate slow down brain waves, protect
us from cancer, it boost the appetite, reduce the risk of heart attack, it
lowers blood pressure and not just helps us to digest food but also keeps us
fresh, calm and reduces stress.
Teenagers thought that chocolate gives spots on their faces
and blame chocolate for their acne. However scientifically it is not possible.
Scientist researched on this myth for a week to observe after effects of eating
chocolate but there were no harmful effect found on any student’s face, which
proved that it is not harmful for skin.
It is also beneficial for old age people because it helps
them to live longer. According to the research in Harvard University on 8000
men for 65 year of age, in which who ate chocolate three times a
month ,lived almost a year longer than
those who did not eat chocolate.
Dark
chocolate is more healthy than milk chocolate because it contains less sugar
but most of the people do not like dark chocolate because of it’s bitter taste
personally I also don’t like it and I mostly prefer milk chocolate which
contains 1.2mg of iron, and 45mg of magnesium in 50 gram of a single chocolate
bar and it is also a great source of calcium as well.
Karen
Collins, nutrition advisor to the American Institute for Cancer Research said:
"We have a wide range of food—vegetable,
fruits, whole grains, beans—that provides thousands of phytochemicals, and so
our heart and our cancer health does not depend on eating chocolate. If
you load up on chocolate for the phytochemicals, then that's going to send your
weight up."
CHOCOLATE
IS NOT FATTENING UNTIL YOU GOBBLE IT…
